On a philosophical basis, this article gives a definition of human nature and its relational statute, describing its manifestations by quoting the works of Rosmini. Man is not sufficient unto himself. Always in need, restricted by his limitations, sorrowfully aware of the incompleteness of his nature, man seeks his own fulfilment in another person.
Thus, the relational statute that characterizes human nature is fundamentally the conjugal relationship, which moves the single identity (aware of its incompleteness) to marry, to join, to complete itself in recognized otherness.

Il contributo definisce, su basi filosofiche, la natura umana quale statuto relazionale e ne descrive le manifestazioni attingendo alle opere di Rosmini. L’uomo non basta a se stesso. Segnato dal bisogno e circoscritto dal limite, dolorosamente consapevole dell’incompiutezza della sua natura, egli cerca in un altro essere il suo compimento.
Cosi, lo statuto relazionale che caratterizza la natura umana e fondamentalmente uno statuto coniugale che muove le identità singole, consapevoli della loro incompiutezza, a coniugarsi, a congiungersi, a compiersi in riconosciute alterità.
